Description

A true performance bag for use in extremely cold temperatures, the Snugpak Softie 18 Antarctica RE sleeping bag can keep you warm and dry on the iciest of adventures without weighing you down.

With clever design features like a reinforced foot so you don’t have to take your boots off, and a quick-release full-length zip, this bag is designed to meet even the toughest expedition demands.

Exceptionally warm, it is also light to carry and packs in the included compression sack to a compact 30cm x 25cm, so it won’t take up too much room in your bag.

British-made quality that will keep you warm and dry

Offering an extreme temperature rating as low as -30ºC, with optimum comfort at -20ºC, this advanced mummy-style sleeping bag uses Reflectatherm fabric, which reflects heat keeping it inside the bag where you need it without adding bulk or weight.

Maintaining excellent breathability, the Reflectatherm fabric is utilised in conjunction with windproof and water-repellent Paratex Steel and Paratex Light fabrics and warm lightweight Softie Premier insulation.

These materials are also designed to help wick away moisture, limiting perspiration build-up so you can sleep soundly whatever the weather.

The Softie 18 is also made to order in extra-long which has a length of 250cm. Please contact us if you wish to order or enquire about this option.

Snugpak Softie Antarctica

Used this sleeping bag while on military exercise in Alaska. Both inside a tent and outside and it kept me warm and comfortable with temperature down to -30 degrees Celsius. Packs nicely in my rucksack and is competitive in terms of weight.

Great sleeping bag!

I bought this for my Everest Base Camp trek in February when I believe temperatures can get down to -25c. I'll know more on the performance of the sleeping bag then but just on opening it I can see it's well made and fits well.
I'm about 6ft 1in, and 14st, and the sleeping bag fits perfectly. Other reviews I read made me think I'd need the extension but it's fine without. Plenty of room to snuggle down into the bag.

Snugpak Softie Antarctica Sleeping Bag Black

Hi there
I'm going to do the test this weekend. Temperatures in northern Finland in February are between -15ºC and -26ºC
When I try it I say something else.
The sleeping bag is of very good quality, the zippers go well, everything is perfect and it gives me the feeling that it retains body heat well ... Once the sleeping bag is removed, it then goes well into the compression sleeve.
Thank you

Sleeping bag

Warm enough, the only downside is how much condensation the outer layer gathers overnight, to the point of having to be towel dried.
