DD Hammocks & Tarps

DD Travel Hammock Bivi with Mosquito Net

£49.95
Colour: Olive Green

Description

The DD Travel Hammock Bivi is a dual purpose hammock with a built-in mosquito net and a waterproof floor. It can also be used as a bivi in case you end up in a treeless area.

In hammock mode you will be fully cocooned away from all insects, ensuring a bug-free sleep.

The mosquito net comes already affixed to the main body of the hammock and spreader poles and two-metre lengths of elastic are included to easily lift the height of the net.

Suspension is a process even the most inexperienced of campers will find straightforward.

Ten metres of webbing is included, five metres on either side of the hammock to suspend the hammock.

Measuring 270x140cm the hammock will fit the vast majority of people comfortably. It can also take a weight limit of up to 125kg.

Two double-sided zippers allow easy entry and exit from the hammock and four tabs on each corner allow for amongst other things a DD Underblanket to be attached if needed.

A double layered design allows the user to insert a partially-inflated Thermarest or other forms of insulation on cold nights.

Handy features such as four internal pockets and two internal hanging loops for torches, keys or other small items add extra value to this sturdy hammock.

In bivi mode, a waterproof layer means that cold and damp from the ground will not affect you.

Packing into a small neat stuff sack, the DD Travel Hammock and Bivi is a good outdoor lightweight sleep option.

Amazing product and made of quality material. Paired with my new DD tarp, this will be a great setup either hanging or on the ground.

DD Travel Hammock

I ordered it late in the year so it’s expected I didn’t used it when I could have. The overnight temperature was perfect on the 31st December. 13c. I’ve camped in minus figures before so I’m not sure why I was stalling to try out this hammock. It had to be wild camping in a area not tried before without the leaves to act as camo to hide one’s secret lair. This can be daunting. All I say at this moment is that this hammock came highly recommended from an ex Brit army guy. I can’t wait for my appointment to roll on so I can try out the hammock.
If you like to resend this review in June I will definitely give an honest review on this item.
Many thanks,
Kind regards
Maryanne

Shelter on a wild night

Wind and heavy rain defined my first use of this hammock. Paired with a DD tarp, it provided a comfortable place for the night.

Fantastic!

Great hammock, I couldn’t fault it. And it is better than my brother’s cheap hammock which is very satisfying. Definitely worth the extra cost - love it!

Serious Hammock

This travel hammock is a serious bit of kit! So far seems like high quality materials and manufacture. When packed it is bigger than my other hammocks but that’s because when unpacked it’s pretty huge and cavernous! Slept both myself and my gf in it (albeit not super comfortably) and was great. Spreader piles and bug net make for a much more comfortable experience than other lower quality hammocks on the market. Haven’t tried it as a bivvy/tent yet but like the fact I can if I find myself treeless in the wild. Top stuff as usual from DD

Brilliant

Would be nice to have tree slings as standard but these are brilliant. Work well in 15 litre dry bags. They’re spacious, good quality and comfy.
