Functional and hard-wearing, this olive US Tactical Flight Jacket from Mil-Tec is inspired by the popular military bomber jacket originally designed for pilots to store maps, pens and other important flight equipment.

For added comfort, the collar, hem and cuffs are elasticated to protect from cold winds and mesh pit eyelets assist in improving airflow under the arms which prevents overheating and discomfort.

It features two angled hand pockets, one sleeve pocket with pen slots and two vertical zipped pockets with mesh organisers and Velcro patches on the chest and arms for morale patches.

This classic cut bomber jacket has a full YKK zip closure and is manufactured from nylon and polyester that provides durability, breathability and warmth during colder temperatures.

Ideal for pilots, law enforcement personnel and everyday casual wear.

Great quality jacket with a slightly unusual fit

Firstly, Military Kit's service is impeccable. And the quality of this jacket is also excellent; it's just the sizing that is unusual for what I expect to be average-build guys. I'm 5'10" and just over 13 stone, and most medium-sized men's clothes fit me just fine. Having previously ordered a medium in another colour a few months back (and finding it a touch roomy around the shoulders), I ordered both a small and medium this time to allow me to compare fits. The small was fine at the shoulders, but it only just reached below my belt line at the waist, and it was verging on cramped around my underarms. The medium, however, is just a little too big at the shoulders but fits well elsewhere. Tricky! It's a quality jacket in every other aspect, so I chose to go with the medium size and its somewhat overly big shoulders with a view to reserving it for cool weather when I'll wear a couple of layers underneath (e.g., a shirt and sweater). Slightly less roomy at the shoulders would have been nice, but it's otherwise a great item.
