Description

The Highlander Tempest waterproof jacket is an ideal jacket to be worn as an outer layer in wet conditions.

The jacket is made from a waterproof and breathable material called Ab-Tex which allows moisture to escape from the inside of the jacket whilst keeping you dry at the same time.

The jacket features two front pockets protected by storm flaps and secured by two press-stud buttons.

The jacket material is HMTC (Highlander Multi-Terrain Camouflage) which is a close match for British Army MTP camouflage.

The bottom hem of the jacket is adjustable and the wrists use Velcro adjusters to help you adjust the jacket to help keep out the rain as much as possible. There is also a stowaway hood which is adjustable for the best protection from the weather.

The Tempest jacket is ideal for camping, hiking or hunting and for military use as a waterproof jacket or outer layer.

Received the jacket all in great order.
Fit is a little big, but does allow for thick layers (I went for a 44 inch chest a 42 would probably have been ok) The jacket is a good length so covers the hips and backside really well.
As the title says, not tried yet but jacket looks great quality looking forward to testing soon.

New and improved

I’ve owned the previous design of the Tempest in DPM and in blue, and whilst great jackets, I feel that this new design is a big improvement on them. Doing away with the Velcro and replacing it with press studs means that the jacket no longer gets attached to anything and everything it comes into contact with, and the move from a double storm flap to a single means that it’s much easier to zip up and less cumbersome. They’re generously sized, so ideal for layering up in the winter.

Ordered Tempest waterproof jacket and trousers. Arrived quickly unfortunately the jacket was fat too big. Ordered a new size had it size. Had it sent to my holiday destination, which also arrived quickly. Refund was in my bank three days later.
