The Superlight Mosquito Net brought to you by DD fixes onto the DD Superlight Hammock as well as the DD Camping and Scout hammocks for an insect free night’s sleep.

Made with ultra-fine mesh to keep even the smallest bugs out the net wraps around your hammock and is securely closed with elastic ensuring all doors for the bugs are firmly closed.

Without the need for spreader poles a hanging pocket stays up by tying onto the hammocks suspension cord, and the pocket, in turn, supports the mosquito net.

The net can be left attached to the hammock, allowing very quick deployment when needed.

At 190g it is lightweight and incredibly compact when in the supplied stuff sack.

Even the most inexperienced camper will have no problem putting this net on their hammock.

  • Dimensions: 2.7 x 1.5m
  • Weight: 190g
  • Easy to erect
  • Ultra-fine mesh
  • No spreader poles
  • Internal pocket
  • Compact stuff sack

Fantastic, fast delivery good price

Great quality products and price. The product is super lightweight which is exactly what I was after. Yet to test it out as it's too cold out but looking forward to taking it around the world with me!

DD Superlight Hammock Mosquito Net

Does what it says on the tin!
Superlight at 190g and can be 0.0g if you don’t need it for a trip and choose to leave it at home as it is easily added to or removed from your set-up. Comes with a nice, moveable three section hanging pocket (for head-torch/phone/hip-flask etc.) on a length of thin/light polyprop that will keep the net off your face!
The net is definitely fine enough for mozzies and even Scottish midges! Cinch elastic opening under hammock, easily adjusted with no gaps. Getting in and out is quicker and less fussy than a zip. Can be slid to end of hammock when not needed.
With DD’s superlight hammock and tarp, you get a whole system for around 1kg. Try finding a lighter set up!

DD Superlight Hammack and Mosquito net

I bought the complete Tarp, Hammock and Mosquito net for my next long distance walk, 2000 km around the English borders and coastline starting on the 10th May 2019. The hammock requires being set up before you venture out into the forest. Once you have worked out the minor difficulties in assembling, the hammock is incredibly comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised. The whole package weighs in at less than 1kg, and my light weight backpack including quilt goose down sleeping bag and water weighs less than 6kg. The mosquito net is the only slight problem in that it is virtually impossible to not have it resting on my face. However, this can be solved by hooking up a string with a small crocodile clip which will help pull the net away from my face.

Additionally with the tarp I bought heavy duty rubber bands, that will make the setup more flexible in strong winds. A rigid setup will probably be ripped apart in a gale.

Otherwise, I can only recommend this setup for light weight through hiking.
