Ortholite footbeds provide highly resilliant support and cushioning for Magnum Boots for much longer than conventional footbeds while fighting odour with an environmentally friendly biocide treatment. Ortholite quality footbeds utilise a specialist foam material crafted from an open cell polyurethane layer which has been proven to retain 95% of its cushioning after the first year, opposed to the 30% of some of theEVA footbeds. Ortholite’s open cell foam is also lightweight and breathable, allowing air to pass through the shoe and excess heat and moisture to escape for cool comfort. Treated with an environmentally friendly biocide, Ortholite footbeds are also anti-microbial. Magnum use the highest density Ortholite – OrthoLite .13, which offers optimum levels of breathability, moisture transport, and anti-microbial function to create a cooler, drier, and healthier environment inside the Magnum boot. In addition, the very low compression set of this formulation guarantees that the comfort and integrity of the OrthoLite material will remain consistent throughout the life of the product. |

It is the complex technology and engineered structure of Cambrelle® linings that set them apart from the rest in terms of comfort and performance. It offers: Comfort The bi-component fibres in Cambrelle allow the Magnum lining to constantly adapt to the motion of the foot and the footwear, whilst providing the highest level of abrasion resistance. This in turn produces countless microscopic air pockets that not only allow air to circulate but add to the cushioning effect to create a constant, comfortable micro-climate around the foot. The lining constantly transports moisture away from the foot, storing it away and releasing it back into the environment when the Magnum Boots are removed. Cambrelle® is so efficient at moisture management that it is fully capable of absorbing three-and-a-half times its own weight in moisture keeping the foot cooler, drier, and more comfortable. Cambrelle® not only keeps the feet dry, cool, and comfortable, it also protects the Magnum Boot itself. As it is so effective at dispersing moisture, the lining also helps to prevent staining of the upper caused by excess moisture and prevents the build up of bacteria that can cause mildew, rot and odour. |

Superfabric brand technology is an advanced, multi-step engineered process that takes ordinary fabrics and transforms them into a variety of unique, protective solutions, known collectively as Superfabric Brand Materials. Hi-Tec Sports founded by Frank Van Wezel Hi-Tec Sports was founded in 1974 in the appropriately named village of Shoeburyness, in Essex, England. Hi-Tec’s original success grew from the breakthrough design and development of Hi-Tec's first ever shoe, the Hi-Tec Squash, specifically designed for the then fast growing game of squash. An industry benchmark then and now, few shoes in athletic footwear history have recorded unit sales of over 18 million pairs worldwide to date. The Hi-Tec Squash remains Britain's all time best selling sports shoe model to this day. |

| 1982 | Hi-Tec Magnum is born Hi-Tec Magnum is born through a demand from the FBI training centre at Quantico, Virginia, USA, for lightweight, athletically built black tactical boots. Until this point the officers were wearing the Hi-Tec Sierra Lite Hiking boot but the request came for an all black, high top version with a shineable toe, giving birth to the original Magnum tactical boot constructed using sports shoe materials. |
